Anthropologie Home Dupes, Get The Look For Less

I recently embarked on the exciting process of decorating my own apartment. As a designer, this feels especially exciting. I’ve been indulging in my favourite home stores, one of which is Anthropologie Home. It’s the perfect place to shop if you love feminine, whimsical, and unique pieces. I could scroll for hours admiring the textures, colours, and beautifully curated collections.

I did end up making a purchase for their old Havana-inspired stoneware that immediately caught my eye. I loved that the pieces felt slightly irregular and had that handmade, artisanal touch. I’m on a mission to find more pieces like this to fill my apartment with character and warmth.

As much as I adore Anthropologie Home, some of their pieces can be a bit pricey. So I thought I’d put together a list of retailers where you can achieve that Anthropologie-inspired look — for less.

What Decor Style Is Anthropologie Home?

When thinking about home decor styles that capture the essence of Anthropologie Home, I first asked myself: What interior design style does Anthropologie Home actually represent?

I’d describe it as generally youthful, feminine, coquettish, whimsical, and eclectic. Now, these aren’t exact design “categories” — they’re more descriptive words — because Anthropologie’s style is hard to pin down.

That said, if this retailer’s aesthetic speaks to you, you might also be drawn to:

  • Bohemian-inspired pieces
  • Vintage-influenced décor
  • Coquettish, feminine touches
  • Maximalist layering of textures and patterns

Essentially, this style is perfect for “cool girls” decorating their grown-up apartments while still holding onto a bit of their childhood dream room — a playful, grown-up fantasy that feels personal, collected, and endlessly charming.

Anthropologie Home Dupes

1. Etsy

Anthropologie Home dupes

Etsy is a great place to shop if you’re looking for unique pieces. Considering it features vendors from all over the world, you’ll find everything from vintage treasures to brand-new items, custom pieces, and just about anything you can imagine.

I’ve scored some seriously cool finds on Etsy — including a vintage Turkish rug that I could totally see AnthropologieHome recreating.

Since Etsy is a large marketplace, there are a lot of listings, which means you do have to dig a little. But it’s usually worth the extra effort. I almost always discover amazing home pieces there, and it’s one of the best places to find styles comparable to Anthropologie Home, often at a better price point.

2. Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters home decor and furniture is seriously Anthropologie-coded. It gives you that same girly, unique, slightly coquettish aesthetic. You’ll find playful patterns, bold colours, and a very similar interior design style.

If you love Anthropologie Home, you’ll likely love Urban Outfitters’ home collection too. The only drawback is that they don’t carry as many home categories as Anthropologie. However, if you’re mainly looking for home accessories, this brand is a great comparable option — and the pieces tend to be a bit more affordable.

3. World Market

Anthropologie Home Dupe

World Market is an online furniture and decor retailer that carries many pieces fitting that Anthropologie vibe. I could easily see a lot of their items passing for Anthropologie Home — they feature playful patterns, rich colours, and that fun, eclectic look Anthropologie does so well.

The best part? Their prices are much more affordable, which makes this one of the best “Anthro dupes” out there.

World Market carries lighting, furniture, home décor, rugs, and even outdoor pieces. It’s definitely a retailer worth checking out if you want the look for less.

4. Zara Home

Zara Home makes the list because there’s some crossover in the style they offer. While Zara Home leans more minimal and sleek compared to many of the finds at Anthropologie Home, you can still spot pieces with that ornate, playful feel.

The main difference is that Zara Home tends to use a more muted color palette. So while it’s not a 100% style dupe for Anthropologie, there are select pieces that overlap aesthetically. It’s absolutely worth browsing if you’re hoping to achieve a similar look for less.

5. H&M Home

H&M Home is another retailer I regularly browse when I’m looking for pieces that echo the Anthropologie Home aesthetic. Many of their items have that youthful, playful charm that feels lighthearted and endearing — a quality Anthropologie captures so well.

While H&M Home leans a bit simpler in execution, you’ll still find fun shapes, soft textures, and trend-forward details that can easily give you that “Anthro-inspired” look.

The biggest advantage? Price. H&M Home pieces are often a fraction of the cost — sometimes as little as one-third of what you’d pay at Anthropologie. If you’re trying to achieve that whimsical, curated vibe without stretching your budget, H&M Home definitely deserves a spot on your home-shopping rotation.

What’s the Best Home Goods Dupe for Anthropologie Home?

I’ve put together five home retailers I know you’ll love if you’re into the Anthropologie look. So, which one takes the crown?

  • Etsy is your go-to if you want to dig for something truly special and unique.
  • H&M Home is perfect for capturing the overall Anthropologie vibe at a fraction of the cost.
  • World Market offers “Anthropologie look for less” with tons of variety to choose from.

Notable mentions to…

I also want to give a shoutout to a few other places I hunt for Anthropologie-inspired finds: Facebook Marketplace and secondhand stores. The Anthropologie style leans eclectic and one-of-a-kind, so vintage shops, thrift stores, and online marketplaces like Facebook can be gold mines. That said, there’s definitely an element of luck involved — you have to be willing to dig a little.

For example, I recently went to an estate sale that turned out to be a vintage treasure trove and, completely unintentionally, had that classic Anthropologie vibe.

So don’t be afraid to browse garage sales, estate sales, or Facebook Marketplace while checking these retailers — it’s all part of the hunt for that whimsical, eclectic, “Anthro” style we all love.
